At CES earlier this year we saw many of the next generation of device form factors referred to as wearables. These devices can be worn on different parts of the body and serve a variety of needs from communication to healthcare.

Perhaps the most well-known wearable is not yet in the market and that's Google Glass. Glass is eyewear that presents the user with a small display that is able to provide information on demand or via push. Glass has captured the imagination and there have been a number of stories related to it over recent months highlighting potential pros (hands free communication) to cons (getting arrested).

To understand the challenges and potential of Glass we spoke to Amish Gandhi whose company Perpetual has a year's worth of experience. His thoughts on design, development and the wearables market provide a grounding in the future mobile.
